Task 23
Find students who never paid
LEFT JOIN with a condition on the joined table, then IS NULL, finds rows with no partner.
Task
How do you find students who never paid?
The editor already contains a starting point. Change it until every check passes — the Next task button unlocks when it does.
What you start with
SELECT students.name FROM students LEFT JOIN fees ON fees.student_id = students.id AND fees.paid = 1 WHERE fees.id IS NULL;
Syntax reference
SELECT students.name FROM students LEFT JOIN fees ON fees.student_id = students.id AND fees.paid = 1 WHERE fees.id IS NULL;
Read it, then write it yourself. Copy-paste teaches nothing.
The sample database
